There have been two (might be three) - further beta Firmware releases available to those that have signed up for the Beta Mi Box test group.
No idea when they will reach the general public.

Would be great! Since last update Kodi always crash and freeze and had to unplug to box. Shame. Never xiaomi again...

the only real update for mi box is selling it and buying a shield. Give up with that chinese shit.
I returned mine to walmart. My issues
-install pending on all apps in playstore
-remote keeps losing pairing
-having to unplug the box constantly to get it to function.
Bite the bullet and getting a nvidia shield.
