Question for Mi box/ Mi Box S owners

So I am looking into buying the s, which seems great for the price, but there are a couple of apps that I would like to know if they are available for the device before buying. I looked online and couldn't find much info (since the apps are not that known). If someone could check I would greatly appreciate it. Also, maybe there are apps not available on the play store, if you can find an apk version, is it possible to install them on the device, or is this blocked somehow? Thanks a lot!

I have MiBox 3, India:Mediaset Play : not available for me. Possibly country specific.Digitalb Kudo : no supported for Tv

You can always install any apk whether they are on play store or not. If apk is not Android Tv specific you need to use physical or virtual mouse. I am using such application it works flawless.

Be-aware, MiBox remote is unreliable. When it will stop working no one knows. Prepare to use third party remote or Android Remote app.

You are aware of such issues you will encounter like: ?

  • Apps orient themselves in Landscape mode (partially fixed with a seperate Orientation App)
  • Apps do not present themselves in the Leanback launcher interface (workarounds like a seperate App called Leanback Launcher needs to be used)
  • You need to use a touchpad or air mouse remote (seperate purchase)
  • Sideloaded Apps do not auto update, so there is ongoing maintenance.
