Netflix, Chromecasting, Games ? - your question is useless without any detail about what each device is going to be used for.
The A95x Plus for example is NOT Google Certified or Netflix approved. Forget about Android TV Netflix or streaming any copy protected video content in better than 480p (SD) on such a device and forget about Chromecasting.
It does not even run the Android TV OS.
The next gen. A95X Plus's - S905Y2 is definitely a more powerful chipset for games use vs the older S905X in the Mi Boxes:

I've not noticed an issue with the OG mibox and its 2gb of ram. I dont play 4k video or anything tho. Depends on what you are using it for.
The A95x Plus is not an Android TV. It's a TV Box running on Android.
The Mi Box is an Android TV Box, running on Android TV.
It depends if you want Android on a TV, or Android TV.
