So I have xfinity and they block HBO Go on Android TV. A workaround is to cast from your phone to the Android TV (I have a Shield). Up until just now (including earlier today) I've been able to do this without issue. Now, all of a sudden, the playback speed is insanely fast. I don't see any playback speed options anywhere (phone or shield). Playback speed on the phone is normal. When connected to the Shield, it's super fast.
I've tried restarting the shield, restarting the phone, and uninstalling/re-installing the HBO Go app on the phone. Nothing works. I've tried different videos and the playback speed is still super fast. Anyone have any ideas?
I don't have an answer, but I experienced something similar with either Vudu or Cinemanow app, not casting, on my Nexus Player awhile back. That could mean it's an Android TV issue rather than a casting or HBO issue.
