Removing bloatware, YouView and keeping UK streaming Apps on Sony Bravia Android TVs

Question

I've seen a couple of posts previously here about speeding up Sony Bravia Android TVs by disabling YouView as well as the 'Featured Apps' and 'Sony Select' app. The trouble with doing this for us UK users is we lose access to iPlayer, All4, My5 and the ITV Hub and I haven't seen this addressed yet. The below links to a project on github who has fixed this by adding links to the above apps into the app tray so if you are in the UK, you can now disable all the Sony stuff and still catch up on Eastenders. Works on my xd8305.

Thanks for sharing, I'd disabled You view as it breaks the recording functionality. IPlayer still works but for the other channels I've just been casting from my phone.
