I'm guessing 2015 models are dead in the water?

I'm in Europe, so no update yet. Could somebody please check if the USB to Ethernet adapter finally works after this update?

  1. Wi-Fi Direct full-time standby function

Wi-Fi Direct no longer supports the full-time standby function. It connects only when the TV is in the Wi-Fi Direct standby screen.

Does this mean it fixes the TV's standby power usage?

Weird that the 2016 930D isn't included, but other very similar TVs are. But I'm not a fan of Oreo Android TV so I'm okay with that.

65x850E here with Oreo. Hate the layout change. Only using a Firestick 4k now.

Where can I download this update??

I have XBR55X800E 2017 with the new update. I downloaded it from Sony and did it via USB (very easy).

It has made the Android experience more fluid and a bit faster. Personally like the new home screen as it's more minimal and you can turn off most of the things you don't want. Plus, I'm not expecting instant loading of apps etc. on a TV.

However, I've had a few hard freezes since the update. Once the TV was off (standby) overnight and couldn't be turned on by the remote in the morning. Had to pull the plug and reset. The other was freezing when opening Netflix and had to reset.

Anyone got the update yet??
