Does mounting the NVIDIA Shield behind the TV interfere with it's wifi or Bluetooth reception?

I had a couple of my Shields mounted behind TVs on the same side as the inputs and noticed the remotes wouldn't work 90 percent of the time. Moving them to the opposite side from the inputs fixed the issue. They now work as well as the Shield I don't have mounted. TVs are all Vizio if that's relevant.
