I just wanted to have a whinge, coz it's become really annoying. The Netflix app has to be one of the most frustrating apps on Android TV.
it randomly stops (sez it's loading and stays at 24-25%). I have to jump out and clear the data to get it to continue.
you cannot press back to get back home and out of the app. You have to scroll down to exit just to get out of the app.

Haven't had any random stopping issues with it, but yes a specific exit button is annoying
It’s laggy as shit on my 2015 Sony 4K. When I watch something it will randomly skip frames/audio for the first 30 seconds or so.
Want to change volume? That will often cause lag too.
Pretty sure this has been since those stupid tile previews were introduced.
And the current build has a problem with logging back in when resuming the app. The loading indicator will spin indefinitely. Have to kill the app or restart TV.

I could never get it working, I get some error every time it starts, which I guess is related to DRM based on what I could gather online. Ended up just cancelling my Netflix account and just use Emby and /r/embyshares now.
I can press home 3 times in quick succession to quit back to Android TV home. But yes, the Netflix app is proper shit for a company with such resources:
Invasive auto-playing trailers, crap UI, half baked parental controls, very little prefs. Drives me nuts! An official robust Kodi plugin would do me just fine but that'll never happen...
Yeah, having to press exit for Netflix (and Spotify) is really annoying.
