Hi guys, I have a mi box 3 running Oreo update. I am trying to copy some Kodi files to it from my windows desktop. Tried es file explorer and drew myself crazy. The remote manager is missing and I'm not able to start ftp server. It some something new called " files on pc". I tried to turn it on but would not budge. Is there something easier or other apps i could use? Thanks.
You might kick yourself, but you can just use a USB stick and any file manager. I remember jumping through hoops at one point to copy over files, then I realized I could just use a drive lol.
Most routers these days have USB port(s), and ability to act as file server (samba and dlna). I think it's a good idea to invest 1Tb or two HDD as a network storage to store your media and what not. It'll make file sharing between devices easier.
I use X-Plore on MiBox and an app called Wifi FTP Server to send stuff over.
