Definitely yours. Return it. You might want to try to make sure it's fully updated and then do a factory reset first though. Maybe something got configured messed up.

Sounds like a bad box. I have a mi box s and have no such issues

Same here ... I did factory reset, cant even play 4k or 1080p youtube video. I just installed kodi and that's it, no other apps.
