65c2us is what I have and haven't received a single update im still on 6.0
That's not true, Percee TV is already on 8.0 on certain markets.
Horrible tv IMO. Told my brother too many times not to go for it but he didn't listen.
Software side is more problematic than than average display, very bad in-built speakers and bad in-built casting (works half the time only, half the time starts lagging).
"smart" remote pairing breaks often. Voice searches takes a lot of time and this remote consumed a lot of power from cells unlike my mibox remote, input change window again takes a lot of time to come up, video streaming apps starts glitching/lagging unless i close all other apps forcefully, prime doesn't work even when side-loaded, HDMI arc doesn't work properly either, etc and many more software problems.
And yes, for your answer, there's no 8.0 for this tv, at least not in Indian region.
I have a 65C2US TCL TV (which shows in the settings as a Percee TV) which has just gotten Android 8.0. Looks great, but I have already found out that the TV can no longer access or read from USB drives (which it was able to just fine before the update). I am following up with TCL.
