Which the best device for replace a Chromecast 2 ?

by OniTux

Hi everyone,

Actually, I have a Chromecast 2 and I'm thinking to replace this for a more efficient solution. For the needs :

  • I use mostly my Chromecast for Netflix, YouTube and Twitch.
  • I want a 1080p and UHD (for the future, today I use my Chromecast on a full HD screen) capabilities output.
  • I want a Chromecast compatible device.
  • With an Ethernet port.

I see the Nvidia Shield TV 2017 but I want to know if better and/or recent devices exists.

Thank you.

I’m hoping this is the year Google replaces Chromecast devices with a pixel player.

More recent, depends on your country

CC Ultra(not Android TV but meets your demands), Mi Box(don't know about 4k performance) or Shield?

Thank for all answers.

If I found a good deal on the shield, I think I will go on it. Otherwise, maybe I will go on Chromecast Ultra when I move on a UDH TV/Screen, for my full HD, I think is overkill.

Shield TV is an untouchable media device right now
