Problems casting from YouTube Vanced to YouTube TV in nvidia SHIELD

When I press the cast button in the latest version of YouTube Vanced from my android phone to nvidia SHIELD with the latest version of SHIELD experience, it didn't respond. Anyone else here have the same issue? I've both devices in the same subnetwork. I've also power cycled router and modem, restart phone and shield, the issue still persists. I've tried to cast to nvidia shield using normal YouTube app from my android phone, it works and then I multi-tasking by switching back to Vanced and start casting, it temporarily worked because I have to rely on the normal youtube app. Is there any way to have only Youtube Vanced cast to shield without relying on normal youtube app?

I have this problem also. I usually press casting button from normal YouTube app, and after that switch to vanced and use that normally.

It's a server side change from Google, we don't know how to fix it.

It works in regular YouTube? I had that problem once but then it suddenly worked again.

It's been issue for over a week. It works with the office youtube app, but not with vanced. It's probably related to the security fix that was patched by Google in relation to casting being susceptible to hacking. You can check the vanced thread on xda forum as many reported the issue there as well. There's no talk of any fix coming soon though.

I haven't tried casting for a little bit, but haven't had that issue. I don't use the standard YouTube app on my Mi box. I use smart YouTube tv, not sure if that makes a difference. Probably want to disable the regular version of YouTube in settings
