Unsupported SanDisk USB drive on Xiaomi MI Box s

by macmac9900

Hi guys I've just finished setting up my new xiaomi MI box s by downloading the latest android update and downloading a few apps and emulators, but I'm running into an issue. I plugged in my 64gb SanDisk USB 3.0 drive with a few ROMS and mp4 files, but I get a notification saying "unsupported SanDisk USB Drive", I tried formatting it in both ntfs and exfat but nothing worked, I then tried to format it using the built in android TV formatter but it ran into an error whole formatting, what should I do? Thanks!

Try formatting it in Windows but the "quick format" option turned off

tried to force on the developer option?

Have you tried scanning it for errors on Windows, maybe something is wrong

Thanks for all the help guys! Reformatting my drive with the quick format setting unchecked did the trick :D

I suspect Xiaomi have not fixed the Oreo - NTFS or ExFat bug from when Oreo 8.x was first introduced

Have you tried Fat32.
