My Phillips 8-series OLED dims the picture in dark scenes to the point of frustration ehile watching HDR content

As the title suggests I have a problem with my Phillips 873 keeps dimming the picture during dark scenes (not as in the light sensor function where it scans the light in the room, that's turned off) when watching HDR content.

I have googled some to figure out what setting I'm missing. From what I can gather, it's been called "macro dimming" in earlier models, but can't find that anywhere here. I'm pretty sure I've gone blind on any setting now, after going over and over the whole menu.

It's frustrating to watch when it changes from dark scenes to light ones, as you get a big jump in brightness, and back to dark scenes where it's turning everything even, white subtitiles into grey darkness

Anyone found a solution to this? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I have the same TV and I never noticed that. Is there any easy way to verify it?

Seriously question, are you sure it's not your eyes causing this?

Which Philips model do you own? I have a 873 Oled and haven´t experienced the issues you mentioned.
