Thanks to u/neekap79 for the solution if your hgtv and diy fail the activation to your isp page. First, install and activate the Food network app to your Android tv. Both hgtv and diy should then be auto signed in after that and good to go.

Food Network authentication wasn't working just a few weeks ago. It appears to be working now for me. Thanks!
