  • Gaming emulators or controller support can be installed as add-ons.
  • Ability to move the app to SD card.
  • Core changes to the codebase to support " release early, release often" model which means more frequent updates.

Been running it on my Shield TV and Mi Box for about a month now (the release candidates) it's a great update and runs well. For emulation I still recommend RetroArch separately though.

Android Leanback and voice control

Voice control is totally not working for me.

franklinyyz

Does it support HDR to SDR tonemapping on 1080p displays on the nVidia Shield TV?! I'm downloading it right away if it does.

I love how the download says "We are fetching your download from the mainframe..." it's so... retro!

rasnicop

Do you know if it's available through Google Play Store? I have a Mi Box 3 Android TV.

CTU

I am not a fan of the update as it sadly is not comparable with my favorite skin

Reeaast

So it should now be possible to move it to an USB drive on Android TV, correct? I ran out of space if Kodi runs on the internal storage of the TV (of course all movie files are already external).

I wish that will have support for Apple TV 4. Putting Kodi app In AppStore on Apple TV 4 and install it from there like any other app.
