The TCL C7006 (55" C70 series) shows ads via a screen impersonating the google play movies & TV app. This is a stock factory reset TV. It only does it very rarely but it is super jarring & annoying when it does and can happen in the middle of watching something.
It displays some text something about "you have dowdloaded (misspelled) an app.." with a google play movies & TV icon next to it. Your only action is to press ok and then a 30 sec ad plays.
What the hell is this and how do I remove it ?
I'm not sure you are having the same issue I had, but I uninstalled Google play movies and TV. I don't use it, and the trailers playing behind the home screen annoyed the heck out of me.
