Sony Android 8.0 Oreo update is now available in Europe

No updates for Australia yet. Sony’s EU division handles Australia, usually. Can’t wait to update my 65x9300, the lag is really annoying, especially while playing 4K from Prime, YouTube and Netflix. Is it any better with the update?

I installed tonight on my KD-55XE8505. So far seems to work smoother. Tested Kodi, MxPlayer, Netflix - no issues.

Also YouTube HDR seems to finally work.

USB to Ethernet adapters still don't work.

I keep checking for the update on my U.S.-based X900F, still nothing.

Opening the home screen now stops playing the current tv channel. On Nougat it kept playing, while overlaying the home screen. Is it possible to bring this back on Oreo?

In Colombia Today update my x907f and works well, the YouTube remains as outdated expected improvements like Roku

Can anyone test openvpn or shadowsocks? My TV crashes after turning it on If I had VPN enabled. This problem exists on most 2017 models I think.

Well, I like the new interface but it's still sluggish and incredibly buggy for me. Simply switching to satellite TV or playing back a recorded show results in either extreme slowdowns, a black screen or a forced reboot. Everything else is glitchy as well. I'm doing a factory reset now, hopefully that will fix it.

Netflix DV does seem to have improved. It's slightly more bright

What about the ARC issues that everyone's talking about? Has this been fixed in the European release of Oreo? I mean I'd really hate having to deal with broken audio...

Motionflow is still broken on 2.35:1 content (most movies) in Plex on the XE90. Sigh. I guess this will never be fixed at this point.
