Use Aptoide TV app .
Search this sub and you will find several threads with links to APK's that works on the mibox (and should therefore work on the mi tv).
Yeah I gave up..I tried using all versions that Reddit recommended 4.10. and 4.8 etc etc etc...but none worked for me. I can play the trailers perfectly fine but one I tried to play an actual movie I get a playback error.
