Tried BBC iPlayer from aptoide the other day and it seemed to work fine but it was the normal touch version of the app so it's basically impossible to navigate with a remote. Will try the apk /u/j2225 linked below though.
The BBC don't support Android TV, so some manufacturers (Sony / nVidia) have written their own iPlayer apps, I believe.
There's a Kodi plugin for iPlayer in the official Kodi repo which is okay. Casting from your phone also works fine.
