Control TV with Mi Box remote?

Hi everyone,

I am about to buy a Mi Box but before pushing the order button I'd like to know if it is possible to control the TV (on/off, sound, change hdmi channel) only using the Mi Box remote?

I am asking this because I currently have 2 remote to control my TV & my TV provider box ... having a 3rd remote does not excite me :/

assuming your tv has HDMI CEC, you can control your mibox using your existing tv remote, the mi box only has a few buttons so would be limited, but your tv remote should be able to do most tasks on the mi box via CEC

Controlling TV with mibox remote, no. Controlling mibox with TV remote, possible.

You won't be able to change TV settings or control channels but you can turn the TV on and off (including my soundbar). At least on my Samsung Qled with HDMI CEC on.
