The font is called Google Sans...they use it for their logo now and a lot of their branding. I honestly really like it
I spot someone from 🇨🇦
...Every since Bell FINALLY released their Android TV Fibe app, I returned 3 rental receives!
Tiles have more rounded corners now
also circle animation on app opening
They made a 9to5 article :)
9to5google used your images mate haha https://9to5google.com/2019/02/07/android-tv-homescreen-update-rounded-corners-google-sans/amp/
Nice
I also noticed this. I don't know why but my Netflix doesn't have a play next row :/
Not much seems to have changed – Product Sans font, more rounded corners, maybe some colour contrast changes(?) – but it does feel a bit nicer.
Looking at the Android TV Launcher on the Play Store on my TV, it says it was last updated 30 Jan but I've only spotted this just now. Server-side switch or is the Play Store wrong?
That's what I just noticed right now as well so came straight on here to double check. Mi Box S here. Much prefer this new font and rounded edges to compliment Google's new theme - looks great. Seems to be a part of the recently updated Android TV Home app from the Play Store.
Edit: not sure why I'm being downvoted? Just saying how I prefer this update because it looks much better.
I think the font is called Open Sans which is the font that works for the Chrome browser/pretty much every phone, if that makes sense.
I use the font always in Adobe XD so it makes it easier for the viewers without having their phone display "missing font".
Still havent rceived my update :( Romania
Ι like the rounded card corners.
this is new? a couple of weeks ago, my Hisense Android TV UI changed what seems like while I was actually using it. The Input option layout has new fonts and rounded icons. I haven't received a software update in a couple of months so it had to be something google did on their end.
I've had this for over a week now on my Mi Box 3
because my TV box does not appear the google assistant icon and yes google APP?
K earn i ng Ma tt ers!
Looks great.
Yeh, I noticed this too, after updating Core Services and Launcher, not sure when update was released.
Everything is curved and has the new Google font, looks way more polished.
