Hi, this is my first post. Since January, or maybe last half of December i can't sign-in using Google Play Games in RR3.
I have a Mi Box 3 running Android 8.0
In January when i tried to sign-in the game just closed and showed that some java function wasn't available.
Now in the last update it just complains about some Google Play Services not available, i think it just refers to some API Changes.
Has anyone the same problem? Thank you
I'm not completely positive, but there are similar issues in apps if the reported GAPPS version installed is older than the oldest one accepted by the app.
There are ways to fake a higher GAPPS version, at least on classic Android. I'm not an expert though, since I'm using microg.
If that's the case, you'll have to either wait for an update (Good luck with that on a Mi Box) or fake a newer version. If the app actually depends on newer APIs not yet implemented in your version of the GAPPS, your SOL, though.
Naturally, I could be completely wrong regarding the issue at hand. Consider it as a possible origin of your error.
Addendum:
If you get the current issue resolved and get a java error or any other error when trying to start your app, you could try to logcat the issue either on-device or via ADB and google the error message(s). Depending on the nature of the error, there's a good chance that you'll find a possible solution that way.
Try uninstalling Google Play Services updates. This helped me when I had same problem on Nvidia Shield
I think I ended up having the same issue too and uninstalled. No issue with Riptide, though - whichever the newest one is.
