Sony Bravia Android TV Oreo Update Issues 2019

by Coouge

Is there a way we can roll back to the previous version? The stock video app doesn't seem to work properly. I have nas external hard drive that used to work properly. We can watch videos and movies from it but now once you play the video, you can't pause it, pass forward it or rewind. If you accidentally stopped the video, it will play from the beginning again. The new stock video app layout is ugly and bulky. All the files are extra large. I really want to rollback to the previous android version.

No, you cannot. Report to Sony

Try VLC or MX Player Pro. I personally use MX because there is a custom codec pack that you can get for it to allow you to have AC3 and DTS audio support. The stock video app is absolutely horrible in comparison.

If your NAS is on your local network like mine is, you may need a file browser that can browse your local network and open the file with your video app of choice. I've heard solid explorer works quite well, I use MiXplorer, which has to be manually downloaded and installed.
