Best box for strictly Kodi?

I use my PC for Netflix or other sites, so I only want this box to use Kodi to get access to blockbuster movies and things of that nature.

My only factors that I care about is:

Price and how easily I can install Kodi without tinkering and constantly updating

Anyone have any recommendations?

edit: thanks for the suggestions guys, I will be looking into the Amazon FireTV or Xiaomi Mini S since I'm budget conscious atm.

Get the nvidia shield dts passthrough works and the option to expand with streaming apps is better. Plus if u ever decide to get Netflix u can get up to 4k. Well worth the money.

This is r/AndroidTV, not r/AndroidTVBox... So the answers for cheap boxes are the Mi Box S and Jetstream from Walmart. EDIT: Kodi will update via the Playstore. But realize that Kodi itself requires tinkering over time (add-ons stop working).

LibreELEC is your best bet for a non-Android Kodi distribution. Works great on old PCs/laptops, Pi, etc.

Lots of good feedback from everyone else, but if you use your PC for everything, why not run Kodi on it as well? if you're on Windows, you can get it through the app store and it will auto update. If you're on Linux it will update whenever you update everything else, usually through cron or similar.

If you want an AndroidTV box, you should look at the Shield an MiBox. As /u/Strel0ka says, the Shield has a steeper price point but it's the best box out there and will grow with you. The Mibox is solid as well and will definitely handle what you need but it won't deal with 4K as well.
