MiBox Ethernet adapter question

by iChopPryde

Looking for some advice, I have a Xiomi MiBox 3 and I was looking to get the amazon Ethernet adapter and noticed both a 2.0 and 3.0 adapter.

I’m assuming the MiBox USB is 2.0?

Also if I have a 300 mbps connection can I get the full speed from a 2.0, what I’m reading is 2.0 can deliver up to 100mbps and 3.0 delivers 1000 mpbs.

So if that’s the case no matter what hard working the MiBox won’t get me my full internet speed?

ugreen 3.0 adapter works best.

USB 2.0 will give 100 meg speed while the 3.0 will give about 200-240 meg speed. Basically the max bandwidth USB 2.0 can handle.

But you honestly don't need over 100 meg as it can easily stream 2-3 4k movies off netflix at once.

Mi Box has a USB 2.0 port. Speed aside, you'll also get a more stable connection with Ethernet adapter.

I suppose if you got a 5ghz wifi to ethernet adapter then you may see some decent speed.
