Is Sony X7500F/X750F/X75F TV any good at upscaling low resolution videos to 4k? how does it work without the Sony's "4K HDR Processor X1" picture processor that can be found in higher-end models?

An LQ video remains an LQ video whatever you do with it. No hardware will make it better.

I'm a Sony TV brand activator. You should go for the 8505 if you are looking for an 120hz ips panel if you want a 60hz VA type panel go for the 7505 series. If you want to upscale 720p or 1080p content (anime or reducing input lag of non 4k consoles) you should get an active 4k cable (I believe there is an ltt video on YouTube about this hardware)

Processing engines are to a certain degree nothing but snake oil. If you are really looking for a reason to upsell yourself you should look for designated hardware differences (like an full array local dimming backlight in the xf90 series)
