Use phone as audio receiver?

by TehJonny

Hi Everyone

Just wondering if it's possible to use my phone as a audio receiver for my headphones? I used to have my old sheild remote but now I have a new shield without the headphone port and a harmony remote so was hoping my phone would work?

Ant ideas ?

Just grab a set of BT headphones.

Its possible but would most likely be more effort than it will be worth. Also too cumbersome

Just use a cheap USB remote with voice input like this: Air Remote Mouse 2.4GHz Mini Wireless Keyboard Mouse Voice Input Android TV Remote Control Infrared Leaning Android TV Box,Mini PC,Mac OS https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07D1R3D2B/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_23iDCbKVKABQ7

you can do this on PC and phone and almost always the audio gets more and more out of sync, I wouldn't expect any better results on the Shield, I only ever managed to do it over WiFi, I doubt phones have BT audio receivers. but I may be wrong. sorry I couldn't be more helpful
