Anyone ever managed to fix the Mibox wake from sleep issue

by ronniekinsley

The issue where if let Mibox sleep for overnight it doesn't wake up. Sometimes soaking the power/menu button does wake it up but 30% of the times nothing does and I have to reboot by manually pulling the power cord

Nope, I'm very close to getting a Shield these days :/

Nope, very frustrating

Oddly the only time my Mi Box doesn't wake up is when I don't close YouTube TV down the correct way. If I press he menu button to get to the android TV menu instead of actually going to the exit option in the YouTube TV menu to exit out of the app, the next day I can't turn my Mi Box on.

Every time I used the exit option both of my Mi Box's have been waking up just fine.

In the latest beta... I don't have that issue; however I still experience occasional sluggish performance after waking... Until reboot...

A workaround for the sluggish performance after wake from sleep is to change "standard limit" to "no background processes" in developer options.

I've never actually encountered this issue, although I do often find it sluggish and need to reboot it. I'll try geogolem's suggestion to see if it helps.

I'm on the oreo 2396 build and the turn on bug is still happening, but I usually get it turned on within a few dozen button mashes. Silly bug.

Ok im sorta OTL, do you guys not turn off the mi box after use?!? Because every electrical thing i use, i turn off and/or unplug or switch the extension cord off. Do you guys just leave it on and let it go to sleep instead of turning it off and/or unplugging or turning off the extension cord?!?

Spam the remote home button, it wakes up after 10-15 press, I also have bt mouse and it can wake up mi box if remote spam is not enough.

So - I can't guarantee this will work for everyone, but for the first time in weeks, I've had 2 days of no "wake from sleep" issues.

The solution so far for me: Uninstall and then Disable the "Live Channels" app from within Settings.

Please give it a try and let me know if it works for you!
