Can’t find Netflix on Play Store, ISP IP TV

I received a new IP TV STB from my ISP and it has Android TV 8.0.0 installed on it. When set it up it offered to auto install Hulu, CBS and a few other apps for me. All are working perfectly fine.

I then try to search for Netflix on Google Play and it does not show up there. Try to remotely install it from my phone and it says not compatible with my device. Get the APK from Netflix directly and it states the device is not supported.

Is there any way to get Netflix to work on it?

Netflix is pretty locked down with their DRM. Most of the Android boxes out of china don't work with Netflix because of this. If you are able to find an APK that will work, you won't get HD or 4k content, it'll generally only play at 480.

Without the Netflix codecs preinstalled on the device you're pretty much out of luck.
