EDIT Just realized it could be confusing THIS IS NOT A VIDEO. I'm dumb and don't know how to upload a video, so I took a screenshot. Sorry. Started happening yesterday. Will play for about 10 minutes, then just 'crash' to this black screen. If I press 'back', it will go back to the main screen. What's going on and how do I fix this?

Wow, this is strange, I had the exact same thing happening to me yesterday for the first time, and today all is fine. My screen looked exactly like yours. Is it just a coincidence or Xiaomi is somehow remotely messing with our MI boxes? Do you still have the issue today?
For me it's working fine but everything that requires internet is barely working like netflix and okay store and YouTube. What could be the problem?

I did a factory reset and have not seen the issue since.

what if you dont have showtime installed? I've been getting this a week now, very annoying.
