" For users having this blank screen on their mibox. Please disable or uninstall the update for Showtime. This should be under settings - applications - system apps. Got hold of the Xiaomi devs and confirmed the culprit was the Showtime app. "

I just did a factory reset and it fixed the issue.

I haven't had the issue but I did notice that Showtime updated on my LeEco too. Just uninstalled it.
