From nowhere this started to happen, screen is gray and the top fifth or so has black stripe dividing the lower gray portion with thin white line. Very strange, since if I press the volume button on the remote I can still see the volume menu, home button will bring it back to the home screen like nothing happened.

Did complete factory reset, new power supply, different TV no change

Any ideas?

Wanted to manually wipe but can't enter recovery after the Oreo update.
