Google Assistant Voice Commands Stopped Working: Bravia X930e

by Slaskwroclaw18

So before my Google Assistant worked beautifully with my Bravia TV, either from one of my speakers or my phone. I was able to use voice commands to turn on/off, cast YouTube & YouTube TV, control volume, etc. Then about a week ago I noticed a issue where now with the exception of turning on/off I am now getting the "Something went wrong" when I try to give a voice command to control the tv. I am still able to cast from my phone but having voice commands was really nice. Browsing the forums it appears others are experiencing this? Is Sony/Google aware? Is there a fix coming?? FWIW still on Android P.

Although I don't have a Sony, I am having the same issue. So I think this is a much wider problem.

Thankfully its not only me with my Sinotec (Skyworth owned) Android TV. My GH Mini to TV volume control still works, and sometimes google photos. But Netflix worked for like a month in 2018 and never again. Youtube has been broken since January I think.

A separate issue is my Netflix used to support 4K but stopped some time last year. Nothing changed from my side aside from the Netflix app updating. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
