No, not through the app store. But, you could always hook up a PC over HDMI to play Minecraft.
Yes, you can sideload minecraft and play with bt\wired gamepad, i play on my mibox3 some times
I had one of the older versions working fine with a bluetooth gamepad. I'll have to go look which one as I factory reset after the oreo update.
