Is there a way to get Twilight to work on the ShieldTv? It hasn't worked since i updated the shield to Android 8 few months back. I performed a factory reset but it didn't help.
Otherwise is there another blue light filter app that i can sideload to use? I haven't been able to find any others that are compatible with androidTV.
I found a simple workaround. And its so easy to do.
Download an older version of twilight. And it will work.
Just sideload an older version of the App and it will work in the Nvidia Shield TV. As long as you don't update it to the current version. Which crashes when you open it.
I use bluelight filter by Geeks.Lab.2015 on Nvidia shield tablet. No issues.
Since its already on Oreo you need to manually toggle overlay permissions to Twilight app via ADB.
connect to your Nvidia Shield via ADB via wired or wifi.
adb connect <shield tv IP address>
once you confirm its connected via using adb devices
just type: adb shell appops set com.urbandroid.lux SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW allow
