So many options and conflicting opinions

by redditbacktofront

Hi guys.

Like many. I'm a user of different streaming platforms and devices but am looking to bundle it all into one where I can.

The problem I'm having, which I can be the first, is there is almost too much info and too many options. I may be looking at it wrong but in a few hours of research I have added and deleted 5 different players to my cart.

So far I'm tossing up between:

  • nvidia shield (seems to be a crowd favourite, but is aging)
  • Amazon fire stick (sounds good but is it really)
  • xiaomi mi box

I live in Australia, use kodi (watching sport mostly) , Netflix and stream local from pc using videostream.

May I get your opinions on where I should head.

The answer you're looking for is the Shield TV, granted you have the cash. It's worth it though, just watch prices and price match where you can.

Aging, lol. It's still running laps around every other box.

Nobody can seriously answer your question, if you don't explain what you want to do with the device.

Streaming IPTV Plex Gaming

If it's only streaming, then the cheaper Fire Stick will do the job for you.

I have both but I always revert to the firestick for the simplicity and ease of use when it comes to watching iptv. I use the shield more for gaming. Wife finds it easier also.
