Just by the Shield TV, come on, forgot the extra hundred bucks and have a much better TV viewing experience. You won't regret it
I wish I would have just bought the Shield from the get-go. I started with Fire sticks, then to Fire TV, then Mi Box. At that point I would have already paid for the Shield. The best part about the Nvidia Shield, is once you buy it, you're done wondering if there is something better.
Or the Amazon Fire TV 4K. Not a true Android TV but it runs Android and most apps can be sideloaded.

Complaining about the cost? How much was cable month after month? Until you've experienced the shield how can you accurately knock it down? Love mine!
Mi box. It's google certified. For all the unhappy users who report here, there are thousands of unreported users and it's easy enough to replace or return them to walmart.
Are you planning on using it? If so, get a shield. I had several Mi Boxes in my family. Every single one got replaced with a shield. I lost more money than I saved cheaping out.

Neither one is an Android TV device. And you really don't want one of these devices that load their own home-rolled Android distribution unless it's Amazon Fire or you're in China.
Look at the MiBox S. That comes with actual Android TV, and will likely suit your needs better.
