Yay, finally advertisements

Just to be clear, I installed the update and while the "promotional" channel shows up, I can disable it in the settings and it stays gone. Restarted it a few times to be sure and it's still gone. Every app I use (Netflix, YouTube, PBS, and Amazon Prime vias sideload) all work just fine as well.

is this a new one, or the one i got last week?

Is just me, or every update they include the "wake up problems fix"?

How many times are they going to fix it until is really fixed?

Zachavm

Hopefully it will fix my issue with the sounds cycling up and down.

They resolved DD5.1+ audio dropouts on Netflix?

First thing I noticed: ambient mode is now FINALLY pulling images from my Google Photos account.

This update is already a winner for me.

In order to get auto refresh rate we have to enable auto swith resolution right?? Because it wants to put it 720P in a 4k tv.......... My update says the same but only have 146MB

Fabrice1973

And still no fix for low resolution images in channel preview... (not an issue on my Philips AndroidTV)

I also got the update.... Fixed the wake up issue......

Did they fix the stuck pixels issue in the top left corner when TV is set to "Just Scan"?

I just hate to set it to 16:9 because it cuts an inch of the picture from each side.

Edit: They didn't fix it.

Mi Box - WAKE UP ISSUES:

- in old Oreo Firmwares yes there was indeed a bug, which is now fixed with recent FW updates.

However what people need to understand is that unless a remote controller also includes Motion sensors inside of it to wake up the remote itself from it's battery saving sleep mode...

The first button press on the remote - actually wakes up the remote. The second button press then wakes up the media player.

I have a number of different media players with Wireless remotes, which include battery saving sleep routines when not in use.

The remotes with inbuilt motion sensors wake up the media players almost instantly as soon as you pick them up and press One single button (Infra Red is instant as well - like it always has been).

The remotes with NO inbuilt motion sensors, like the Mi Box remote, sometimes take two button pressings to firstly wake up the remote and then the media player.

Tx for the info, but what about Android 9 (Pie) for the Mi Box S ?

I'm going on a weekend trip tomorrow and just plugged in my Mi Box S to update all the apps at home instead of hotel WiFI and got the update too. It's the first time I turned it on since 6 weeks or so.

Do you want ads, because this is how you get ads.

My Mibox was updated twice recently. In both the same text came out.

The first update fixed my performance problems (fucking finally) when I put the device in spandby and forced me to restart.

The second update has just destroyed my youtube -_- (at least i think was because the second update)

Now I have to force stop app, clear app cache and clear device cache every time i put this trash on standby. And even restart does not work, which at least allowed me to use just one click.

And with the second update google play does not stop spamming and autoactivate the promotional channel of apps almost every time I restart

Edit: i have a normal MiBox3, not S. Good luck with this one
