Just got a new Sony Smart TV! Downloaded a few apps to get myself setup, but can't find either the Watch TBS or Watch TNT apps.
When I search for them in the Google Play store, it gives me about 50 apps as a search result, but neither are the actual apps I'm looking for. Some of the top results are NCAA March Maddness, ABC, and Sling TV.
I see both in the app store on my phone, just not the TV. Any ideas to where they went/how to get them?
Two options:
Sideload the 4.18 version available on ApkMirror
Amazon AppStore has them available to download, and apparently has updated TV-compatible versions compared to ApkMirror (Amazon’s version is 4.19). You will need to sideload the Amazon Appstore apk to use the Amazon store versions.
Basically the 5.0 version of apps released without Android TV support.
If you just need the live stream, there’s also FitzyTV. It is an aggregator of live streams of networks using the TV Everywhere login system.
