Mi Box S Google Cast not working

Hello, I recently got the Mi Box S and can't get the built in Chromecast to work. I have connected my phone and the Mi Box to the same WiFi network. When I tap the cast icon in the YouTube app on my phone and select the Mi Box as casting device, I see a short loading animation and then nothing happens. Has anyone experienced similar issues? Or am I missing something?

I found the problem, it was totally my fault. I didn't use the original YouTube app, but a modified one without ads and with background playback enabled (YouTube Vanced). It seems like this modified version doesn't support casting. Going back to the original YT App, i was able to cast my videos to the Mi Box. It's a pity that I have to choose either ad free YouTube or being able to cast my videos, but I am glad that my new Mi Box works as it should :)

Just forget your wifi network..

Got to apps, check for chromecast built in, click Uninstall updates..

Now connect to wifi by entering password again.., now it must work

What phone? Android works ok for me. Linux doesn't see it, but using Wireshark the Mi Box S seems to be doing the right thing. Need to investigate further.
