Apple TV+ on Android TV?

by EmanueleCariati

The streaming landscape is getting crowded. Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, AppleTv+ are some of the streaming services that are competing against each other (or will do so in the future). It doesn't seem unlikely that a huge company as Apple is pushed to release AppleTv+ on other devices (Smart TVs, smart box sets...etc) or platforms (Android TV, PS4, XboxOne...etc) to increase its revenue. Any thoughts?

Note: This is pure speculation

They already announced they would make the app available for Fire TVs, Rokus and several other platforms, nothing about Android TV. Hulu Live TV also isn't available for Android TV nor will it be, regardless of revenue loses.

I don't think Apple will be in any big hurry to push out to other devices or platforms anytime soon, eventually they will though. They will most likely run on the premise of using Apple TV+ to drive up their sales for their set top boxes first, then branch out.

I think when they push outside of Apple devices, roku will be the first to receive it.

Apple announced the app will be available on Sony Android TV's. They didn't mentioned anything else. Even if it's Sony exclusive at first, I am sure someone will extract the APK file.
