So android TVs and TV boxes come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and the same can said for the remotes that come with them. Are remotes compatible other boxes/TVs? As far as I know, most of them work via Bluetooth, so does that mean that, any device that is Bluetooth enabled, a potential compatible device?

I have one of those wireless mini keyboards and it works well for searching and browsing, I still haven't found a way to shut the tv down though
Generally most Bluetooth remotes work with the boxes (might be some exceptions that I haven't crossed).
Some devices have IR as well. I opted to use it on my Jetstream because 8t has much more commends than a bare bones streaming remote.

Excellent remote for Android TV. I use it with the Nvidia Shield. Programmed the IR keys for the power buttons on the projector and soundbar. Turns off all three with a single press.
