Restricted access when trying to (re-)connect my TV with Wifi

by CidAndroid

A while ago I bought a Philips TV and while everything worked perfectly in the beginning I started to experience some infuriating issues with the wifi connectivity.

The wifi would disconnect at random intervals and once I re-enter the details and reconnect it stays connected for maybe an hour and it drops.

Today, I've been shown a different message when I dreadfully had to reconnect the TV with my router once again.

"Restricted access - your connection to the router is not confirmed"

I have no idea what's going on. All my other devices don't seem to face any issues with the wifi connection and after much googling I have yet to find a solution to this problem.

I hope someone is able to help! Thanks :)

I had a previous Philips TV that had a similar issue.. just wouldn't stay connected. As it was new, I had it replaced. The new TV works perfectly, and I gave it a static IP and priority on my router - I hope it stays this way... Unfortunately, it sounds like you might need some warranty support there.

Have you tried unregister the WiFi network or ultimately s factory reset

Why not buy an android smart tv box , Now that electronic products are updated too fast, it’s better to be flexible.
