I am looking for a cheap box and this Mecool got my interest because it has the official Android TV OS and not the normal android with a skin on it but there are 2 versions of it and i can't tell the difference between it apart from the remote?

It's not possible a shitty cheap box to have Android TV.
Those two "TV" devices have old Android phone OS...a total garbage.

They are legit because they have working Chromecasting (supposedly)
However Firmware quality is a big unknown and you definately need a device from a company that provides ongoing Firmware bug fixing updates.
At least Xiaomi for all their faults are doing that.
Both uses the phone's Android OS.
