Netflix keeps launching itself on Sharp Android TV.

As the title suggests. Can anyone help me with this? Or any ideas for this case? I have tried force closing and factory resetting but it still launches on its own.

Someone might be trying to cast to it. Disable Chromecast/casting on the TV and see if it still happens

My Shield does this. It's annoying as hell. Cast a video, switch inputs, Netflix opens, exit Netflix, cast again, YouTube opens.

Try changing remote control batteries sometimes low batteries send rogue button presses, also check Netflix button is not getting stuck.

I guess following are your options:

  • Stuck Netflix button in remote
  • Your neighbour might be screwing with you by casting. Try changing wifi pass
  • If you don't use casting, disable it from tv
  • Disable/Clear-Cache Netflix app and try casting it from mobile if above two points are not the issue
  • Factory reset the tv
  • Contact Sharp and browse their forums, if available
