DirecTV Beta Android Box Remote

Hey guys. I know that AT&T had their beta trial of sending some people proprietary DirecTV boxes running Android TV. To those who got those boxes, I have a question for you. How is the remote? Does it use Bluetooth to connect, and can you connect it to other devices (for example, would it work with a Shield)? Does it have any IR capability, does it work with CEC?

Haven't tried to connect it to anything else, but it's Bluetooth and IR. The first gen had a shitty d-pad but second gen is in the mail and looks more solid in pics. It does have channel numbers which a lot of devices don't. Idk if any other ansroid TV apps use numbers but it's a nice throwback on the DTVN app.
