Hello there!
I have a Mi Box in which my mother currently watches her country's local channels (using a.m3u list that I have curated and the TVirl app to load said list into the Mi Box Live Channels app)
I have been thinking about buying a TCL Android TV for her so she can watch both the cable channels that come through the coaxial cable and the channels loaded by the .m3u list.
What I wanted to know is if the TCL Android TVs use the same Google Live Channels app (or some clone that can accept the TV framework input from TVirl) so my mother could watch both the cable channels and the iptv ones using one single TV channels app.
Thanks
Edit: before anyone says that I should get the best TV for picture quality and a Shield, she's pretty tech illiterate and the requirements are to have an easy to access list of cable channels and the iptv ones, so can't use a Shield or Mi Box + HDHomerun because our cable still uses NTSC system and the HomeRuns only accept ATSC/ClearQAM, hence the need for a TV set.
I have a TCL and live channels works perfect. I use tvirl to add the playlist and works fine.
I’m doing the same for my mom, but the lists I’ve found are a mess my controller doesn’t have numbers you have to use a button that displays a on-screen number keyboard so I’m searching for a simpler list.
