Install Android TV on Mi TV

I have one Mi TV 4A Pro which has PatchWall OS installed. It doesn't support Google Play Services and so it is not possible to install apps from Play Store. Hence there is no way to install NetFlix, Amazon Prime etc to the TV. Is it possible to install Android TV to this Mi TV ? There is no update from Xiaomi regarding the OS update and upgrading to latest version of the OS. If it is possible to install Android TV, how can this be done ? Please help.

Even with Android TV you won't get Netflix etc @4kv as that requires a hardware drm chip that mi tv don't have.

Not yet, they last year promised an update but it's not there yet.

I suspect they are waiting to directly update to 9.0 instead of 8.1. Android TV Pie is smoother on small configurations like your PatchWall TV.

And the Mi TV 4 Pro will soon be updated to 9.0.

Did you try to directly sideload the Netflix APK via USB? Otherwise you can still install another App repository like Aptoide and from it install Netflix.
